Mirana the Princess of the Moon is a ranged agility Hero that uses her abilities to surprise, chase, and disable enemies. Additionally, because of her lack of early game item dependence, Mirana also plays well as a ganker in the first stages of a game.

Mirana is a Hero that uses timing, prediction, and knowledge of how her skill shots work to become a killing machine. Her abilities reward clever tactics and good reflexes, and scale directly with a player's own skill level. She is recommended for intermediate to advanced players.

[edit] Bio

Mirana Mirana, the Princess of the Moon
"How long must we ride before we're summoned again to the Nightsilver Woods?"
Role: Carry / Nuker / Disabler / Escape
Lore: Born to a royal family, a blood princess next in line for the Solar Throne, Mirana willingly surrendered any claim to mundane land or titles when she dedicated herself completely to the service of Selemene, Goddess of the Moon. Known ever since as Princess of the Moon, Mirana prowls the sacred Nightsilver Woods searching for any who would dare poach the sacred luminous lotus from the silvery pools of the Goddess's preserve. Riding on her enormous feline familiar, she is poised, proud and fearless, attuned to the phases of the moon and the wheeling of the greater constellations. Her bow, tipped with sharp shards of lunar ore, draws on the moon's power to charge its arrows of light.

Ability Affects Damage
No Target Enemies Magical
Calls down a wave of meteors to damage nearby enemy units. One random enemy in 175 range unit will take a second hit for half the damage.
Radius: 625
Damage: 75/150/225/300
Cooldown 12 Mana 100/120/140/160
The Goddess breaks the strata to empower her Princess in the time of need.

Notes:

  • One random enemy unit in a 175 radius around her has a chance to get hit again by Starstorm and take half of the said damage.

Sacred Arrow
Not blocked by Linken's Sphere.

Ability Affects Damage
Target Point Enemies Magical
Fires an arrow with deadly precision, dealing large damage and stunning the first enemy unit it strikes. Stun duration increases based on distance to target, ranging from 0.5 to 5 seconds.
Range: 3000
Arrow Collision Radius: 115
Stun Duration: 0.5 - 5 seconds
Damage: 90/180/270/360
Cooldown 25 Mana 100
Lunar energies make the Princess of the Moon's arrows more deadly than most.

Notes:

  • For every 150 distance the arrow travels, the stun duration upon impact increases by 0.5 seconds. For example, an arrow that travels for 300 range stuns for 1 second, and an arrow that travels at least 1500 range stuns for 5 seconds (which is the maximum stun duration).
  • The stun duration is determined by the distance between where Mirana fired the arrow and where the arrow hits its target.

Leap

Ability Affects
No Target Self
Mirana leaps forward into battle, empowering allied units with a ferocious roar upon landing, granting attack and movement speed. Speed bonus lasts 10 seconds.
Roar Radius: 775
Buff Duration: 10
Distance Leaped: 630/690/780/840
Attack and Movement Speed Bonus: 4%/8%/12%/16%
Cooldown 30/26/22/18 Mana 40/35/30/20
Both friend and foe alike recognize Mirana's iconic white beast in the heat of battle.

Notes:

  • Leap uses a 0.01 second Wind Walk to dodge any projectiles currently in route to Mirana, so if the enemy has true sight of Mirana she won't be able to dodge projectiles using Leap.

Moonlight Shadow
Not blocked by Magic Immunity.
R

Ability Affects
No Target Allies
Turns Mirana and all allied heroes invisible. If Invisibility is broken, it will restore after fade delay if the shadow's duration has not expired. Silence will stop Moonlight Shadow.
Radius: Global
Duration: 11
Fade Time: 2.5/2/1.5
Cooldown 160/140/120 Mana 175
Her tenure with Selemene allows Mirana to eclipse the ground, wrapping her allies in a cloak of shadows.

Notes:

  • Units affected will not auto attack enemies.
  • Magic immune allies will be affected.

[edit] Tips

  • Moonlight Shadow is useful both as an escape ability for yourself and/or the team, and as a way to set up a gank.
  • As a strong semi-carry, Mirana is quite special - she doesn't really need farm early-mid game, thus making her a threat at that stage as a ganker. She is able to farm up items quite quickly by using Starstorm to clear creep waves as well.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the transition from DotA to Dota 2, the names of two of Mirana's skills were changed. Starstorm used to be called Starfall and Elune's Arrow is now simply called Sacred Arrow.
